Make-Up Organisation

I am one of those girls that loves to wear a bit of make up everyday.. my routine in the morning usually goes something like this, get up, have a shower, get dress, make a coffee and walk towards my vanity to apply a bit of make up..nothing too much, just a light foundation ( shhh don't tell anyone but i have some freckles and i am not even a red head :) ) a soft eye shadow, mascara and love lipstick. But my make up system was frustrating me, as i had about four cosmetic bags, one to hold my pencils and mascara, another to hold lipstick and lip gloss, another to hold foundation and mineral powder and yet another for my spare cosmetics. And because i dont have that much room to display my make up, i had to come up with a system that didn't take too much room, something compact to hold my everyday make up and pretty of course. So i spotted this mirrored cosmetic organizer at Store and grab it quick smart.

The cosmetic organizer is made of durable acrylic and its divided by product type. You can find these awesome organisers in most of the big stores, like Howards, Store, Kmart, Target. They come in different sizes and are easy to clean too.

Here's a closer look at the dividers for your lipstick, pencils, mascara, brushes and eye shadow...

All my lipsticks are now display and organise according to brand or colour, pencils and eye shadows are contained in the other compartments.

I only use one or two brushes but for those that have lots more...keep the rest in a pretty cup on your vanity and keep them upright for easy access.

I have added a make up expiration chart...so you know when to toss your make up!
According to that chart i could be tossing some of my make up and beauty products soon! I am pretty sure i have some nail polish from three years ago :)

DIY: Driftwood Wind Chime or Wall Art

DIY: Driftwood Wind Chime or Wall Art I love bringing treasures from the beach. I love collecting interesting pieces of driftwood and shells. I think most people do but most don't know what to do with their finds. I been wanting to create a beautiful piece with driftwood and shells - its a wonderful way to bring a little bit of the ocean into our homes. Here's a peek: I was inspired by the almost perfect concave shape of the driftwood. There's lots of versions of this wind chime/wall art using driftwood. I decided to make my own version with some of my beach treasures. Step One: Find the right piece of driftwood. Not too flimsy and long enough to attach at least five pieces of twine. Find a driftwood piece that's interesting and has the right shape. Here's the Materials you need: driftwood & seashells natural twine hot glue gun (not shown) scissors Step Two: Lay out your materials onto your work space and piece together how you...

French Inspiration! My fabulous Armchairs!

Hi Again Everyone I want to share my first purchase that started the transformation of my home to the French look!  I came across one day two beautiful dusty pink armchairs and immediately fell in love with them! When i picked them up from the seller and took them home, they stayed in my spare room for a while until i could figured out where to place them and that is how i thought about starting my own French style at home! Start with one item, like i did and slowly fill your home with things that will create the French look right at home.
